I often imagine God’s Presence as a place I will enter once my mind becomes quiet enough.

First I should resolve the conflict, settle the emotion, and stop thinking about the list waiting for me. Then I will be available for something sacred.

The conditions are rarely met.

This lesson says *now*.

God’s Presence is not waiting beyond the thoughts. It is present while I notice how noisy the mind has become.

I remember sitting alone after receiving news that brought both relief and emotion. I wanted to pray, but every sentence felt inadequate.

Gratitude, exhaustion, fear, and disbelief were all present together.

For a while, I tried to organize them into something spiritually coherent.

Then I stopped.

I did not enter God’s Presence by improving what I felt. I entered by allowing myself to be fully there with God.

Presence can hold contradictions the mind wants to resolve. I can be grateful and afraid, peaceful and grieving, certain of Love and uncertain about nearly everything else.

God does not require the simpler version of me.

Today I want to enter Presence without waiting for the internal room to look different.

I may still hear thoughts, feel restless, or find no words at all.

Presence is not an achievement of concentration.

It is the recognition that I have never been standing outside the place I am asking to enter.
