200. There is no peace except the peace of God.

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.

I have mistaken bodily relief for permanent peace.

When a result is reassuring, a symptom fades, or I finally sleep through the night, relief feels so complete that I want to secure it forever.

Then the next sensation arrives, and vigilance returns.

Relief is a gift. I do not need to diminish it. But changing conditions cannot carry the weight of changeless peace.

I remember leaving a routine appointment with good news and feeling light for the rest of the afternoon. By evening, my mind had found another concern to investigate.

Nothing had gone wrong. Fear had simply moved to a different address.

God’s peace does not depend on the body producing uninterrupted reassurance. It remains available when news is good, uncertain, or difficult because it rests in what cannot be altered by any of those forms.

This peace may coexist with practical concern. I can ask questions, seek a second opinion, or care carefully for symptoms without making certainty the price of calm.

Today I want to notice what physical outcome I have asked to guarantee peace.

The body will continue changing. If peace must wait for it to stop, peace will always be temporary.

I am still as God created me.

That is the condition no medical result, mirror, or passing sensation can revise.
