163. There is no death. The Son of God is free. 164. Now are we one with Him Who is our Source.

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

Grief can make separation feel like the most undeniable fact in the world.

Someone is no longer physically present. The ordinary ways I knew them are gone, and the silence where their response once appeared can feel larger than every spiritual assurance.

These review ideas do not ask me to pretend the absence is painless.

They ask whether death has accomplished separation from our Source.

I have looked at an old photograph and felt both connection and distance in the same moment. The face was completely familiar, yet the life around that moment no longer existed in the form shown.

For a while, memory seemed like a small substitute for presence.

Then love itself became the evidence. The relationship had changed form, but what was true in it did not feel dead. It continued shaping the mercy I could offer, the stories I carried, and the person I had become.

Now are we one with Him Who is our Source.

Not when grief ends. Now, while love and absence occupy the same human heart.

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

Today I want to let the ache remain without asking it to prove that connection has been destroyed.

I may still wish for the voice, body, and ordinary companionship.

The Course does not ask me to call those forms unimportant.

It asks me to remember that our shared Source is not a form—and no ending here can divide what remains one there.
