There are days when home feels like the place where nothing is asking anything of me.

I imagine getting through the work, answering the messages, and closing the door on every unfinished problem. Then I will finally feel at home.

This lesson offers home in an instant.

Not because the demands disappear, but because home is not the completed list. It is my unchanged place in God.

I once sat in my car for a moment before walking into an event. I had been hurrying all afternoon and was already thinking about where to park, whom I needed to find, and whether I was late.

My hand was on the door when I decided to remain still for one breath.

Nothing around me changed. People kept arriving. The clock did not pause.

But the moment stopped being something I had to chase.

For that instant, I remembered that I was not entering the room to acquire belonging. I could bring belonging with me because I was already at home in God.

Stillness does not always feel serene. Sometimes it simply interrupts momentum long enough for another truth to enter.

I can go home in the middle of a conversation by releasing the need to manage how it ends. I can go home while worried by remembering that fear is occurring within a Love it cannot remove.

Today I do not need a perfect meditation or an empty schedule.

The task may still be waiting when the instant ends.

I will meet it differently if I stop asking it to tell me where I belong.
