The word *feel* can make this lesson difficult.

There are days when I believe in God’s Love more easily than I feel it. My body may be tense, my mind distracted, or my heart occupied by something painful.

Am I supposed to manufacture a spiritual feeling and call it love?

I do not think so.

Feeling God’s Love may begin with noticing what love makes possible inside me.

It may be the capacity to soften one judgment, receive one kind gesture, or remain present with myself instead of abandoning the moment because it hurts.

I remember walking outside after a difficult day. I was not seeking a profound experience. I needed air and a break from my own thinking.

The evening was ordinary. A neighbor waved. A dog paused to investigate something in the grass. The air had cooled.

For a few seconds, I stopped standing outside my life and evaluating it.

I was simply in it.

The Love of God did not feel dramatic. It felt like being included in the moment without needing to earn my place there.

Perhaps love is often felt this way—less as intensity and more as the end of resistance.

Today I want to release the demand for a particular spiritual emotion.

It may arrive through beauty, companionship, relief, or the willingness to stay with a feeling I once would have escaped.

God’s Love is not absent because I cannot produce a sensation on command.

It is within me now, teaching me how to recognize it.
