Some tears should not be rushed toward meaning.

They belong to losses, disappointments, and moments the body understands before language does.

I do not believe God asks me to stop crying in order to prove that I trust Him.

I remember finding something that belonged to a person I missed. The grief came without warning, carrying both love and absence.

For a few minutes, I did not try to reinterpret it.

I let the tears say that this mattered.

Then something quieter appeared beneath the pain: the love connected to the object was not contained by it. The form had awakened the memory, but it had not created what the relationship gave me.

God wipes away tears not by declaring the loss insignificant, but by revealing that love has not been destroyed by the change in form.

Today I want to allow grief and comfort to exist in the same place.

Comfort may come through another person, a memory, prayer, rest, or the simple ability to breathe through the next minute.

I do not have to manufacture it.

God’s answer does not erase what mattered.

It gently reveals what loss could never take.
