Some decisions feel like a struggle between what God wants and what I want.

I imagine His Will as the more spiritual option and mine as the one that would make me comfortable.

That makes guidance feel like negotiation with a God who may ask me to lose.

I remember considering whether to have a necessary conversation. Part of me wanted relief through honesty. Another part wanted to preserve the temporary peace of avoidance.

I treated the conflict as though my real will were unclear.

But beneath the fear, I already wanted what God wills: truth without punishment, connection without self-abandonment, and peace that did not depend on pretending.

The uncertainty concerned the form and timing, not the deepest choice.

Recognizing that helped me prepare without turning the conversation into a test of courage. I could wait until I was calm enough to speak usefully, then say what was true.

Today I want to notice where I describe God’s Will as something imposed on me.

The answer may not dictate one obvious action. Several forms can serve honesty and love.

But I am not deciding whether I want peace.

That choice has already been made because my true will was created with God’s.

Fear can delay my recognition of it.

It cannot replace it with an opposing will.

God is not asking me to surrender happiness.

He is helping me recognize what I have always chosen.
