I usually think protection means preventing painful things from reaching me.
No criticism. No rejection. No diagnosis, loss, or mistake that changes the course I expected.
This lesson offers protection at a deeper level.
I remember receiving feedback on work I cared about. Some of it was useful, but one comment felt sharper than necessary.
For several hours, I treated the discomfort as evidence that something essential had been damaged.
Then I separated what the feedback could actually touch from what it could not.
It could change the work. It could teach me about the audience, the relationship, or the way my choices affected someone.
It could not alter the Self God created.
Sinlessness protected me by making honest evaluation safe. I did not need to defend against every criticism as though it carried the power to define me.
Today I want to notice what I believe a painful experience has harmed at the level of identity.
Human beings can be deeply affected by what happens. Healing may require grief, treatment, support, accountability, and time.
Spiritual protection should never be used to minimize that reality.
It means the deepest truth remains beyond the reach of every event.
My sinlessness does not make the world incapable of hurting.
It ensures that hurt can never become my creator.
