I cannot control what other people return.

I can offer patience and receive irritation. I can apologize sincerely and still be misunderstood.

The miracle is not a transaction that guarantees matching behavior.

It is the shift I make available by choosing love instead of fear.

I remember receiving the wrong order at a busy café. When I pointed it out, the employee responded defensively, as though I had accused them of something larger than a simple mistake.

My first impulse was to match their tone and make sure the responsibility was clear.

Then I noticed how flustered they already seemed and asked what I wanted to receive from the exchange.

I wanted the order corrected, not another person embarrassed.

I restated what I had ordered without adding a judgment about their attitude. They paused, apologized, and fixed it.

That outcome was welcome, but it was not the only return. The miracle had already returned as the peace of correcting a problem without enlarging it.

Today I want to notice what I am about to offer through my next response.

Sometimes the loving response will still be firm. A miracle does not require endless access or avoidance of conflict.

It requires the willingness to see beyond attack as the only possible language.

I offer miracles by refusing to make fear inevitable.

Their return may appear in the relationship, or simply in the mind no longer committed to continuing the injury.
