God is my Father, and He loves His Son

Love from people can feel conditional because human relationships often are.

We misunderstand, withdraw, become overwhelmed, and sometimes fail one another in ways that leave lasting marks. It is easy to transfer that history onto God.

I begin to imagine divine love as approval that strengthens when I behave well and recedes when I do not.

This lesson offers no condition.

God loves His Son.

Not the polished son, the productive son, or the son who has finally resolved every contradiction. Love is not a response to performance. It is the relationship God created.

I have felt how difficult this is to receive after making a mistake. Even after apologizing, I sometimes continue the punishment privately, as though remaining ashamed proves that I understand.

But shame cannot improve God’s love or make me more deserving of it.

If I am loved now, I can look honestly at what needs repair without fearing that truth will exile me.

The same love belongs to everyone else, though their behavior may require boundaries. Remembering their place in God does not require giving them a place in my life that is no longer safe.

Today I want to notice the condition I believe I must meet before love becomes secure.

Perhaps I can stop presenting evidence for and against my worth.

The case was never before a court.

I am God’s Son, and I am loved—not as a reward, but as the first fact from which every healing begins.
