I sometimes reserve God for transitions.

I remember Him in the morning, before sleep, or when a problem becomes too large for my usual strategies. The middle of the day belongs to momentum.

That is often where I need remembrance most.

At midday, small frustrations have accumulated. I have answered too quickly, taken a tone personally, or begun moving from one task to the next without fully arriving anywhere.

I once noticed this while eating lunch in front of a screen. I had finished most of it without tasting much and was already responding to something else.

Nothing was wrong, but I was absent from my own life.

“Be in my mind” became an invitation to set the device aside and take one quiet bite. God did not enter because I had created a sacred atmosphere. I became available to the Presence already there.

Through the day means through the ordinary parts—the waiting, switching, eating, driving, and recovering from moments I did not handle well.

Today I want to practice one return in the middle rather than only at the edges.

I may forget again five minutes later.

The return still matters.

God does not count how long I remained aware. He meets each willingness as though no absence occurred.
