Now would I be as God created me

I often imagine becoming my true self through addition.

More discipline, more healing, more confidence, more spiritual understanding. Somewhere beyond enough improvement is the person God intended.

This lesson says *now*.

Perhaps being as God created me requires less construction and more release.

I once caught myself adjusting an honest answer before giving it because I wanted to sound more composed. The polished version was not exactly false, but it hid the part of me that needed to say, “I do not know yet.”

For that moment, being as God created me meant abandoning the performance.

I gave the simpler answer.

Nothing dramatic followed. The conversation simply became more real.

Fear teaches me to build an acceptable self and present it carefully. God asks me to recognize the self beneath the management—whole, loved, and capable of truth.

Today I want to notice what I am adding in order to feel worthy of being seen.

This does not mean every impulse is holy or every habit should remain unchanged.

Growth becomes more honest when it is not an attempt to manufacture worth.

Now would I be as God created me.

Not later, when the résumé is complete. Here, where one unnecessary defense can be put down.
