I follow in the way appointed me

I can spend a surprising amount of energy studying paths that do not belong to me.

Someone else moves faster, receives an opportunity I wanted, or seems certain about a direction I have barely begun to understand. Their path starts looking like evidence that I have missed mine.

I remember joining a project where the most visible role had already been given to someone else. I was disappointed and quietly assumed the work left for me mattered less.

My role was to organize information behind the scenes.

As I began, I noticed details that had been overlooked and questions the group had not yet considered. The work suited the way my mind naturally operates. It helped the visible part succeed without requiring me to be at the center of it.

The way appointed me was not smaller. It was simply mine.

Following does not mean accepting every circumstance passively or believing God assigns rigid careers and roles. It means becoming willing to serve love where I actually am instead of measuring my place against someone else’s form.

Today I want to notice where comparison has made my own next step seem inadequate.

The answer may be ordinary. Make the call. Learn the skill. Rest before deciding. Contribute without needing immediate recognition.

I do not need to see the entire road to know whether the next step carries peace.

My way becomes clearer through walking it.

God’s guidance does not ask me to become someone else before I can follow.
