This lesson sounds enormous until I remember how quietly one mind affects a room.

I do not have to solve the world’s problems or convince everyone to see spiritually. I contribute to salvation whenever I stop adding fear to the place where I am.

I remember arriving at a family gathering already frustrated about something unrelated. No one there had caused the problem, but I carried its tension into the room.

I heard ordinary questions as demands and minor noise as inconsideration.

One person asked whether I was all right. My first impulse was to say I was fine and continue making everyone feel the strain I would not name.

Instead, I admitted that I was overwhelmed and needed a few quiet minutes.

That small honesty changed the atmosphere. No one had to defend themselves against a tension they could feel but could not understand.

The world was not saved in a dramatic sense.

But one cycle of hidden accusation and confusion ended.

Today I want to notice what I am bringing into the spaces I enter.

Sometimes my contribution will be patience. Sometimes it will be truth, repair, or leaving before resentment becomes attack.

Salvation works through the purpose beneath the action.

I came for the salvation of the world because the world I experience is being interpreted through me.

When I choose another Teacher, everyone I meet encounters a little less fear.
